The Coolest Acknowledgement Ever

http://0.tqn.com/d/jobsearch/1/0/A/L/traditionalthankyou.jpgPeople as me, do we need to send acknowledgements for customer orders?

My answer is:  Acknowledgements are like those pesky thank-you notes to your aging Aunt Matilda; you have to send one unless you thank her in person.  Phone call thank-you's don't count.

Customers are getting used to seeing them in their daily lives.  Internet business are setting the pace in the Order Acknowledgement field.  Wholesale distributors and others could take a lesson from CD-baby.com

Here is a recent email with shipping information on my purchase....

Thanks for your order with CD Baby!

USPS tracking #: xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx (Tracking Info Click Here)

Your package will have tracking information within 24-48 hours. USPS tracking numbers can be used through the UPS link above. If your package(s) shipped via international post, our carrier currently only confirms receipt of package information; no further status updates are available at this time.

(1) Davin James: Palmer Lake
(1) Mike Barfield: Living Stereo

Your CDs have been gently taken from our CD Baby shelves with sterilized contamination-free gloves and placed onto a satin pillow.

A team of 50 employees inspected your CDs and polished them to make sure they were in the best possible condition before mailing. Our world-renowned packing specialist lit a local artisan candle and a hush fell over the crowd as he put your CDs into the finest gold-lined box that money can buy.

We all had a wonderful celebration afterwards and the whole party marched down the street to the post office where the entire town of Portland waved "Bon Voyage!" to your package, on its way to you, in our private CD Baby jet on this day, May 24, 2013.

We hope you had a wonderful time shopping at CD Baby. In commemoration, we have placed your picture on our wall as "Customer of the Year." We're all exhausted but can't wait for you to come back to CDBABY.COM!!

Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Sigh...
We miss you already. We'll be right here at http://cdbaby.com/, patiently awaiting your return.
